Children's Ministry
Vision
That the next generations of Evangel Baptist Church will become disciples of Christ, truly satisfied in Him, and go forth to make disciples of others while living for the glory of God.
Mission
- To share the love of Christ with the children that come through our doors
- To point children to Jesus Christ as their one and only Saviour who can satisfy them alone
- To teach the children the whole counsel of God and in so doing, proclaim the great works of the Lord to the next generation (Psa 145:4) and build a strong foundation of Bible truths and knowledge of Scripture
- To come alongside parents in nurturing the faith of the children, while recognizing that the primary responsibility rests on parents (Deut 6:5-9)
- To prepare children to be faithful congregants in the future
Our Classes
We run classes on Sundays using age-appropriate curriculum to teach God’s Word. Our curriculum has been carefully chosen according to these values: faithfulness to the Bible, centered on God, and gospel proclamation. It is our goal to teach God’s Word faithfully to the next generation, that they may come to true saving faith and become disciples of Christ.
Our CURRICULUM
Toddler's Class (2-3 years old) - Drop Off w Parental Accomp. on Request
Younger Kids (4-9 years old) - Drop Off Only
The Gospel Project teaches children about the Bible in a chronological sequence starting Genesis and ending with Revelation with one unifying theme – God loves all of us and sent His son Jesus Christ to save us from our sin.
Every week, children will have a short worship session, followed by a Bible story and exposure to a big truth of the Scripture. Fun extras like art and craft are done thereafter.
Each child brings home a story card and an activity page which help parents review the bible lesson at home.
Frequency: Every Sunday 9.30 am to 10.45am
Junior Youths (10-16 years old)
Truth:78 To Be like Jesus is focused on helping youths uncover answers to hard questions on salvation and sanctification through Bible Study so that they have a good understanding of the Gospel message.
Each session is separated into two main sections – youths are first presented with an introductory illustration that are based on real-life examples which then lead into study of the scripture. Thereafter, the second section is focused on getting the youths to apply what they learnt through a variety of questions and discussion starters.
There is a Growing in Faith Together (GIFT) page to take home each week to help with student-parent interaction. Each GIFT page provides parents with main idea(s), memory verse(s), Scripture references, and a lesson summary.
Frequency: First 3 Sundays of each month. Junior youths are to attend the main worship service every 4th and 5th Sunday to prepare for assimilation into the main congregation.
SAFE MANAGEMENT MEASURES
